There’s a reason you’re greeted with a drink and a "welcome to the party" from the reception staff. Located on Medano Beach (one of the few actually swimmable beaches in Los Cabos), the adults-only hotel is the place to go if you like the music loud, the beverages free-flowing, and the guests extra social. But while Los Cabos has developed a reputation as the playground for the rich and famous, you actually don’t have to be either in order to play.īreathless Cabo San Lucas is the perfect example. You don’t have to look far to find the pretty party people in Los Cabos throw a stone in any direction, and it’ll likely land in some A-lister’s Champagne. Not the look you’d expect at an all-inclusive. And the very best (the ones on this list, specifically) are fully prepared to cater to any sort of traveler-even the non-believers who never thought they’d ever step foot inside an all-inclusive. No place does all-inclusive resorts quite like Mexico, which is why Americans flock to its coasts en masse. Sure, you can try and find the best taqueria in town, but if you’ve already got great tacos (and they’re bundled up in the per-night price) at the hotel, why not leave the stressing (and currency converting) behind and indulge in that meal on your resort’s private strip of sand instead? Part of the appeal is also the hands-off approach to logistics. Over the past several years, the all-inclusive model has become less about all-you-can-drink booze and body shots and has started recognizing travelers’ desire for quality food, wine, wellness, and experiences that embrace local culture-and provide more of a sense of place than any “Italian” restaurant on a beach in Mexico ever could.
